You love your 380 Auto pistol. If your name is Charlie, then your friends might already refer to you as “380 Charlie.” It sure beats my own high school nickname (“Dweeb”).A cultured 380 enjoyer such as yourself deserves excellent ammunition for all their target shooting and plinking pursuits. They deserve the Minnesota-made mastery of – pause for dramatic effect – Federal Premium Champion.
This little cartridge has a middleweight 95 grain bullet, which attains 980 fps muzzle velocity out of Federal’s 3-3/4” test barrel. That’s perfectly normal for its weight. Really, the nonmagnetic FMJ’s only other feature of note is its jacket, which is plated, which is why you must take care to do the following: do not fire this ammo through a ported barrel or muzzle device.
Do you know what a plated FMJ does, in addition to limiting which firearms you can fire this ammo in? It makes ammo more affordably priced. Love that!
