About This Wolf .380 Auto AmmunitionThis rugged 380 ACP round hails all the way from Russia. It has got the steel casing that its country of origin is so well-known for, which lowers its cost considerably. Wolf’s casings used to be coated in lacquer in order to help it feed and eject more smoothly, but now the manufacturer utilizes a special PolyFormance polymer coating in order to take care of that task. You’ll find little wanting in this cost-effective round’s performance, although you will be sorely disappointed if you try to reload it. (Because you can’t.)
This round has got a 94 grain projectile. Its bullet’s bimetal jacket further improves the reliability with which this round feeds, and because the bullet’s copper layer is on the outside it’s able to treat a pistol’s bore gingerly. Wolf’s Berdan primer, while another factor contributing to this round’s unsuitability for work at the reloading bench, is non-corrosive -- you’ll be able to sit on this case of ammo for years.
