About This Federal 9mm Luger Ammunition

These inexpensive cartridges are loaded to produce 1,030 feet per second using a medium weight 124 grain full metal jacket.Due to its slightly lighter powder charge, this ammo generates a bit less recoil than your typical 9mm range load and produces less energy. Paper targets won't feel the difference, but your hands certainly will!
Like other Federal ammo, these cartridges use non-corrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases.

Posted onShooting this ammo is like lobbing marshmallows downrange! Seriously... this ammo has 292 ft-lbs of ME (124gr @ 1030fps), which is roughly equivalent to a .45LC "cowboy load" (250gr @ 725fps). Yet in spite of being super fluffy, it reliably cycles the action every time. Note: I did not shoot this ammo through a suppressed weapon. I was looking for something "soft" that would not intimidate a new shooter moving up from .22LR to 9mm Para for the first time... and I found it! This is also the only 9mm subsonic ammo that I've been able to find that does _not_ use a 147gr projectile. I love this stuff. Well, as a frugal consumer I have a moral dilemma with paying more for less, but I still love shooting this ammo regardless. :-)
