About This PMC 5.56x45mm Ammunition

PMC ammunition comes from a top supplier to the South Korean military. As one of the US's major allies, South Korea makes extensive use of firearms chambered in 5.56 NATO and consumes a great deal of ammunition training its army for the ultimate self-defense scenario: repelling a possible North Korean invasion. It's no surprise, then, that the South Koreans are really good at making affordable, high-quality ammo. This 1,000 round case (50 boxes of 20 rounds each) of 5.56 NATO ammo, made to the US M193 ball standard, is an amazing bargain that will give you more AR-15 range time for your dollar than most other brands while derivering superb ballistic performance.

This ammo uses PMC's in-house non-corrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases as well as the standard M193 55-grain boat-tailed full metal jacket bullet. It must pass rigorous quality control checks to reach distributors and will provide an enjoyable, consistent shooting experience.     I had won an ar15 and shot the rounds that came with it. So I ordered these 5.56x45 - 55 Grain FMJBT - PMC X-TAC - 1000 Rounds and shot some of them. These are good rounds. They hit the target and didn't leave alot of powder in the barrel. I would definitely recommend these rounds for shooting with.

    PMC 5.56x45 arrived at door today, less than three days elapsed time from order entry to delivery.
    Have used PMC 223 and 5.56 before an will purchase again and again. My ARs can chew either brass or steel case 223 or 5.56 with no issues experienced. Grabbed two "Mixed bags" from Ammoman a bit ago - all worked flawlessly ....Just personal preference, would rather brass for 5.56.

  • There were about 5 to 10 % misfires. This occurred in three different ar15 rifles so I would think it was the ammo and not all 3 rifles.

    This is my third case of PMC, and second case of the 55gr. I have always been happy with the ammunition and never had issues with it. I recently thought I was having problems with my AR, it would fire, eject, fail to feed. After trying every single magazine, BCG, spring, buffer combination I had, turns out this batch was underpowered. It will eat everything else, just not this single batch of 55gr. Unhappy, PMC lost a loyal customer.
