Not all 10mm cartridges are suitable for defense against dangerous game, though. You want a bullet that can penetrate deeply enough to reach a beast’s off switch. In other words, you want a hard cast.

This round’s 220 grain bullet is made of heavily alloyed lead. It’s far harder than conventional lead as a result, which is why it averts virtually all deformation following high-velocity impact. Alongside its flat nose profile, the hard cast is perfectly equipped to inflict a deep and deadly wound channel. It’s certain to pass clean through a human threat, however, which is why we only advise it for defense against big angry animals.

This ammo’s bullets wear Black Cherry polymer coatings: a feature which eliminates damaging metal-on-metal friction inside the barrel (even if it has polygonal rifling).
