This shotshell blends two different types of #6 shot together. Seventy percent of its 1-1/4 ounce payload is copper plated; a feature which improves patterning by reducing deformation under recoil, and increases penetrating depth by doing the same after impact. The remainder is FliteStopper shot, each piece of which has an edged, raised ring around its equator that slices through plumage and drills a devastating wound channel into the bird.

This shell features Federal’s famous FliteControl Flex wad. It stays with the shot column a good ways after to expulsion to ensure efficient patterning. It then uses its rear air brakes to neatly disconnect from the shot, allowing the latter to jump downrange in narrow formation.
