Although its 1-1/8 ounce column of #7.5 lead shot is fairly standard for a target shell, this round’s unusually low muzzle velocity does give it extremely gentle recoil. Granted, this shell’s effective range for trap and sporting clays is limited by its low velocity, but if your goal is to minimize muzzle rise or train a novice who is averse to recoil then you’ll really appreciate what Federal is offering here.
