This shell is loaded with 1-1/8 ounces #8 shot – very small 0.09” diameter lead prills which pattern in a thick pattern and pulverize clay nice and efficiently. Each shot pellet is made of chilled lead, which possesses the superior hardness it needs to avert deformation, stay spherical and ballistically efficient, and exert plenty of energy on impact to ensure a clean break.

This shell’s 1,280 fps muzzle velocity is not outrageously fast, but it’s peppy enough to shorten your lead time somewhat as you’re taking aim at a moving target. Fiocchi’s cushioned wad is designed to absorb some of the shock of recoil, and their powder burns up with minimal residue buildup to show for it.
