So long as you want a single projectile (as opposed to multiple shot pellets), you can consider this shell the jack of all 20ga trades. The 3/4 ounce rifled slug (which is exclusively rifled to allow passage through a choke tube; not to increase gyroscopic stability) tears out of the barrel at a rate of 1,600 feet per second. The approximately 0.061 G1 BC projectile will hit 50 yards with around 988 ft lbs of energy, and then drop -4.9” at 100 yards (assuming 1.5" sights). The soft lead slug’s hollow point nose cavity will administer a dose of deadly terminal expansion to the owner of whichever soft tissue it tunnels through.
