This cartridge’s 30 grain bullet has numerous accuracy enhancing features in spite of its small size. Its concentric copper jacket and voidless lead core promote great rotational stability. These features are why the 0.090 G1 BC bullet is able to remain stable and supersonic until approximately 160 yards (assuming it was fired from a rifle; expect a slower muzzle velocity than 2,200 fps if you’re firing a 22 Magnum pistol instead).

The TNT’s name isn’t just for show. The JHP’s jacket is extremely thin, and it is made even more fragile by the flutes lining its interior. This is how the bullet expands and explodes so reliably once it sinks into its prey.
