This .30-06 Springfield ammunition fires a 165 grain Trophy Bonded Tip bullet at a muzzle velocity of 2,800 feet per second, delivering excellent terminal performance against deer and other midsize or large game at long range.Trophy Bonded Tip bullets have polymer tips for better external ballistics; the tip also serves to initiate the expansion of the lead core, pushing the thick copper jacket outwards into the familiar mushroom shape. The projectile also has a solid copper shank and boat-tailed base for stronger penetration and better in-flight stability, respectively. These cartrides come in boxes of 20 and use non-corrosive Boxer primers and nickel plated brass cases.
