This ammunition from Federal's Hydra-Shok series combines the high caliber and stopping power of the .45 ACP cartridge with the velocity and penetration of faster-moving cartridges like the 9mm. It accomplishes this with a +P high pressure loading that propels a light 185 grain jacketed hollow point bullet to an impressive muzzle velocity of 1,130 feet per second. This high velocity enhances the round's ability to penetrate and expand quickly.These cartridges come in convenient boxes of 50 and will work particularly well in heavy service pistols capable of absorbing some of their increased recoil. Use +P ammo only in firearms capable of handling it.
Federal Hydra Shok ammunition is made in Anoka, Minnesota using non-corrosive Boxer primers and nickel-plated brass cases.
