About This Federal 223 Remington Ammunition
There are three things we love unconditionally here at AmmoMan.com:1. Babies
2. Puppies/kittens
3. Bulk, American-made 223 Remington ammunition
Obviously, we’re only able to sell you one of those things (although “KittyMan.com” does have a nice ring to it; we will look into the matter).
If you want your AR-15 to purr like a kitten, then all you gotta do is grant us the privilege of shipping a case of Federal Black Pack 223 Rem ammo to your doorstep! This case contains four 150-round boxes, so you’ll have enough ammo to … well, you’ll have enough ammo (for the time being).
This cartridge is loaded with a 55 grain full metal jacket: a simple lead and copper construct, which contains no steel that could have attracted a magnet, and which wears a cannelure to prevent it from shifting out of its seating under the herky-jerk of recoil. The 0.269 G1 BC bullet conserves around 78% velocity at 200 yards. If your barrel’s 24” (i.e. the same length Federal uses to record 223 muzzle velocity), then you’ll be looking at around 2,536 fps velocity and 785 ft lbs energy at that distance.
Federal doesn’t pick up old cases, dust them off, and stick new bullets inside. These cartridges’ brass cases are newborn animals, and fine for handloading projects!
