This 5.56x45 cartridge is loaded with the common 55 grain FMJ. It is an uncomplicated projectile with a streamlined profile, nonmagnetic and hard gilding metal jacket, and dense lead core. There is no steel or anything else that could qualify as magnetic in this round’s bullet.

The FMJ’s ability to prevent rapid barrel fouling is complemented by this ammo’s clean-burning propellant and non-corrosive Boxer primers. Those are new brass cases, by the way – not reloads. Military-grade cases like these are annealed (aka heat-treated) at the factory but aren’t polished up afterward.
