About This Sterling 5.56x45mm Ammunition
M192? It’s a load of hooey. Don’t fall for it.M194? That’s a little too much M for our liking. Hard pass.
M193? Ah! Now that’s the kind of thing we like to see here at AmmoMan.com. It’s the most vanilla of all AR-15 ammo for target shooting, and the simplest kind of 5.56x45 the Armed Forces issues for field use as well.
Not all M193 ammo is made in America. Sometimes it is made in Turkey, as evidenced by this absolute 1,500-round, 41.7-pound unit of 5.56 by Sterling (a brand belonging to Turaç, which has been in biz since ‘87).
No strange surprises here. The cases aren’t steel; they are brass, and new. The 55 grain full metal jacket bullets aren’t magnetic; they are made of lead and copper alloy only. The primers are Boxer primers, and just as noncorrosive as anything Winchester or Remington would load. The cartridges aren’t loose-packed. They are parceled out nice and neatly, in fifty 30-round boxes per case.
