9MM MAGTECH STEEL 124 GRAIN FMJ (1000 ROUNDS) *STEEL CASES*
We love our customers so much that we wish we could give them free money! We’d never actually do that, of course, but at least we can ship them budget-friendly steel-cased 9mm ammunition with free shipping!Magtech loads this ammo in Brazil the economical way: with copper-free steel cases. Steel is nowhere near as supple as brass, which means it doesn’t expand to seal off the chamber as effectively – nor does it contract to its original dimensions afterward. That’s why this ammo shoots a little dirtier. That’s also why it isn’t fit for handloading. But at least those cases are plated with zinc: a metal which shields steel against rust.
This ammo may have steel cases, but it’s not like the budget-bin stuff that pours out of Russia. Its 124 grain FMJ bullets are made of lead and brass – no steel, no other ferrous metals, and no ability to attract a magnet as a result. Magtech also loads these rounds with Boxer primers, which are no more corrosive than the primers you’d get from any of the big American companies.

Posted onThese rounds seemed to foul my M&P9 fairly quickly. I brought the gun home and cleaned it so we’ll see next week if they have the same results.
